A Blog for Content Heroes

Blog post from Sep 14, 2017

In the numerous customer conversations I've had with customers this year, I've clearly seen how much the digital transformation has affected companies the world over. Information represents the central aspect of the digital transformation. Information is the lubricant of the digital revolution. The digital transformation aims at delivering a seamless information flow that accompanies products and services from the source to the disposal. The information flow originates from the R&D department, traverses the product management, and crosses the border to partners and customers in the marketing, sales, and service units. A lot is being written about what the infrastructure for the digital transformation should look like and how the transformation is to be rolled out. I often ask myself what the lubricant of the digital transformation should be like:

  • What are the quality requirements?
  • How can blockages due to inconsistencies be avoided?
  • What needs to be observed in order to ensure that information can be found in the intranet and on the Internet?
  • How can information be presented in a form that people can easily digest and understand?
  • How can the customization of information for new markets be simplified?
  • How can brand conformity be guaranteed?
  • How can redundancy be avoided?

All of this needs to be taken into consideration by the content creators, which is why we're going to call them "content heroes". Content heroes conjure up content from information. Content heroes work in different areas of a company. Content heroes are team players who collaborate with the content heroes of other departments. Content heroes play a key role in the digital transformation.

The Congree blog is meant for all content heroes. It will feature submissions of Congree team members and guests. With informative, entertaining submissions, we would like to cover as many facets of the content creation process as possible. Our Congree content hero Hannah Glaum will start out with her submission "I'm Not a Content Machine!". Enjoy!

tl;dr

The Congree blog is meant for all content heroes. Content heroes conjure up content from information. Thus, they play a key role in the digital transformation.
